Netflix is an almost laughably appropriate home for Oxenfree II. But if you’re okay with playing it on your phone or tablet, Netflix is trying to give you a great game for free. Oxenfree II is on almost every platform, including PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 and 5, and those are all good ways to play it. And luckily for all of us, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals (the sequel to a 2016 indie sleeper hit) is well worth playing. But the streaming service has been investing more and more in games over the past few years, and this month, a major new release is dropping on Netflix at the same time that it’s landing on other consoles. You’d be forgiven for having no clue that Netflix was trying to give you video games-especially if you don’t watch movies on your phone or tablet.
